30th January 1999 London Philharmonic Orchestra, Bernard Haitink |
Back to BBCM reviews of concert, opera and ballet |
Last term I went to my first BBCM concert outing to hear Mozart's Jupiter Symphony and Bartok's Bluebeard at the Royal Festival Hall. played by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
The words were sung in Hungarian but I followed the story with my mum in English. I thought the orchestra was really fantastic. I especially liked the drums. We went backstage and met Mr. Haitink who was really nice and gave us his autograph.
I had a really great time.
