Tchaikovsky The Nutcracker (Suite No 1), Shostakovich Symphony No 8

This was my first classical concert. I thought that the music was brilliant and the atmosphere was fantastic. Although some of the pieces were heavy I really enjoyed the music. I was very excited because I could listen to some of the instruments for the very first time like the harp and the kettledrum. The harp's tunes were very soft and delicate. The kettledrum was my other favourite instrument because it was an unusual shape to me and the sound was very powerful. The orchestra was beautifully conducted by the famous Russian conductor Rostropovich. Thank you , Agnes, for choosing such a good concert.
